Andrew is a T-12 paraplegic. Prior to his accident, Andrew was a lineman at Xcel Energy. It was during his difficult journey to recovery that Andrew decided to commit his life to helping individuals who have suffered similar injuries. With his vision and determination, he founded Blood Brothers Foundation in order to achieve our mission of transforming the lives of people living with spinal cord injuries.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sara came to Colorado in 2007. She is a graduate of Metro State University School of Business, and earned her degree in Finance. Sara worked in the banking and finance industry before meeting Andy in 2012. The two have been together ever since. They co-founded Blood Brothers Foundation in 2013. Together, Sara and Andy combined their strengths and passions to get the organization to where it is today. Sara is also active in the spinal cord injury community and is a member of Colorado Cross Disability Coalition.
Chloe is a new graduate of Colorado Mesa University with a degree in English Literature. She grew up serving her hometown community of Durango, Colorado, before moving to Grand Junction to go to school. She helps Blood Brothers Foundation out with many administrative tasks. She is excited to apply her strengths in organization and social media to the Foundation to help others get the car modifications that they need. In her spare time, she teaches English, reads, writes, travels, and goes on outdoor adventures at every possible opportunity.
Dr. Indira Lanig, M.D.
Medical Director, Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital
Dr. Lanig is currently the Medical Director at Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital. Previously, she was an attending physician for 21 years at Craig Hospital and specializes in catastrophic spinal cord injury medicine. Dr. Lanig worked closely with Andy during his three month stay at Craig Hospital after his injury. Dr. Lanig brings to us decades of experience in working with spinal cord injury survivors, as well as a passion and committment to serving the SCI community in Colorado.

Carol brings us more than 25 years experience in strategic planning, nonprofit capacity building, event and volunteer management, and relationship development. She holds a BA and MA in Education and has served on numerous boards for several nonprofits throughout the Denver area. Carol was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to Serve Colorado, the Governor's Commission on Community Service. She has a sincere passion for making an impact in the community she lives.
